Privacy

Benchmark is built so that your training data never leaves your device. This page explains exactly what that means, what the website does, and how to reach us.

The app

The Benchmark app stores everything you log (workouts, sets, cardio, body measurements, notes, and settings) in your own device's local storage (IndexedDB). There is no server, no account, and no analytics inside the app, and it makes no network calls after installation. The only way data leaves your device is the JSON export you trigger yourself. Deleting the app (or using Reset all data in Settings) deletes your data.

This website

trybenchmark.app (this marketing site, not the app) counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, builds no visitor profiles, does no cross-site tracking, and gives us only aggregate numbers such as page views and referrers. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and like any web host Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) transiently to serve and secure the site.

Cookies

Neither the website nor the app sets cookies. There is no advertising, no data selling, and no third-party tracking.

Questions or requests

Benchmark is an open-source project (MIT licensed). For any privacy question or request, open an issue on GitHub. Since we hold no personal data about you, most data requests can be satisfied on your own device: export, inspect, or erase your data any time from the app's Settings.

Health disclaimer

Benchmark is a workout tracking tool, not medical advice. Its suggested targets are simple arithmetic on your own logged sessions, not a professional assessment of what is safe for you. Consult a qualified professional before starting a new training program, especially if you have a medical condition or injury, and stop any exercise that causes pain. You use the app, including its exercise guides, at your own risk.

Changes

If how Benchmark handles data ever changes, this page will be updated in the same release. Last updated: 30 September 2026.
